1. How did you install the drivers in the compatibility mode? Was that installation successful?
2. Do you have any third party security program on the computer?
3. What is the device status shown in the Device Manager? Is it showing as “Unknown Device”?

Here are few of the Micromax models which are listed in the Windows Compatibility Center, but the 3G Dongle model number that you are using is not listed in this.

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Method 2:

I would suggest you to check if the 3G Dongle is detected in Device Manager or not. If yes, check if there is any error message or yellow exclamationmark. If there is any error or yellow exclamtion mark you may try to update the driver from Device Manager.

a. On the desktop, press Windows key + R and type devmgmt.msc in the Run

Dialog box and press Enter.

b. In the Device Manager Window, expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

c. Right-click on the device and click on Update Driver Software.

You can also try to Install the Micromax MMX352G 3G USB Dongle drivers in its Compatibility Mode.

Download the setup file of the Windows 7 driver for the Micromax dongle device and save it in your computer. To install the drivers in the Windows 7 compatibility mode follow the steps from this link:

micromax dongle MMX352G 3G driver for windows 8

First, install the latest device driver for Micromax MMX353G USB dongle. And Close the Micromax USB manger from desktop and exit the Micromax MMX353G USB dongle completely from system tray (right click and choose exit).

Then, go to C – Program Files – MMX353G USB Manager – Driver.

Locate the file “InstallDriver.exe” and run it. After installing the driver, restart your computer and open “MMX 353G USB Manager” from desktop.

Open Device manager (just start typing device manger from Windows 8 start screen), and expand “Others”. Uninstall all “USB modems” listed that has a question (?) mark.

If “Others” isn’t listed, expand “Port” and uninstall the following:

1. Device Application Interface.

2. Device Diagnostic Interface.

3. Device Pipe.

Now, right click device manger name and click “Scan for hardware changes”. Start the MMX 353G USB Manager. The software will detect the modem and now you are ready to connect.
