To celebrate Quake's 20th anniversary, Wolfenstein: The New Order developer MachineGames created a new episode for id Software's classic first-person shooter.'Happy 20th to Quake, id Software,' the studio tweeted. 'As a gift to fans, we created a new episode of the game.' Those who own Quake will simply have to download the RAR file and install the levels.To install the level, you'll have to extract the RAR file into a new folder called dopa in Quake's main directory. Next, launch the dopa executable inside your dopa folder. According to Kotaku, all you need to do next is start a new single player game.
Quake is currently on sale for $2.50 as part of Steam's Summer Sale, if you don't own it already.
id Software announced Quake Champions—its new competitive arena-style first-person shooter—at E3 2016. A release date hasn't been announced just yet, but the developer is expected to reveal more at QuakeCon this year.Another Wolfenstein game or piece of DLC could also be in the works, but there hasn't been an official announcement from Bethesda or MachineGames. However, Bethesda did tease the possibility during its E3 press conference.
